Hi, I’m Charmaine

— a lifelong student of Yoga and a lover of movement, nature and connection.

Yoga has been part of my life for over 25 years. As a Pakistani woman living in the UK, my journey with Yoga has been shaped by a deep commitment to honouring its roots, embracing inclusivity and using this practice as a path to liberation for myself and for others.

I’ve been intentional in choosing teacher training courses and mentors, who centre their practice in accessibility, social justice and the true essence of Yoga beyond its westernisation/capitalisation. My passion lies in holding space for all bodies, especially those who, like me, have often felt unseen within or excluded from traditional Yoga spaces.

My classes are rooted in mindful movement, gentle strength and functional mobility. I guide you to move in ways that feel nourishing and supportive, whether you’re just beginning or have been practicing for years. You’ll find plenty of variations, encouragement to use props and the space to move at your own pace.

I’m especially honoured to guide classes in care homes for older adults. These sessions are thoughtfully designed to support aging bodies with accessible movement, breathwork and grounding relaxation practices. My own mother attends my classes regularly, which is such a joy and a reminder that Yoga truly is for everyone.

Here’s what you can expect in my classes:

🌬️ Move in your own way – Explore variations and use props freely. You are your own best guide.

🌀 Build strength and mobility – We will move the body in different ways, building functional strength to support everyday movement.

🧘🏽‍♀️ Rest and reset – Experience the calming power of breathwork, embodied relaxation techniques and guided meditation to help slow down and root in the present.

🎶Nourish your soul – Insights from yoga philosophy through quotes, mudras, or chants to feed the heart and the spirit.

🌿 Inner connection – A space to tune in and deepen your relationship with your body, mind, and spirit.

Yoga is not just a physical practice; it’s a way of life that guides us to come home to ourselves. A way to soften, listen and discover what we truly need.

Outside of class, I spend as much time as I can in nature — soaking up the sun in my tiny backyard; walking through the woods; sipping tea; tending to my plants and loving animals. I am honoured to share a life with two incredible children and a loving husband. I’m also exploring herbalism, deepening my connection with the natural world around me every day.

I hold over 850 hours of training in Hatha Yoga, Yoga Anatomy and Functional Movement (Heart & Bones), Accessible Yoga (School of Accessible Yoga), and Yoga & Social Justice (Ignite Be Well). But above all, what I bring to each class is care, warmth and the belief that Yoga belongs to everyone.

I can’t wait to welcome you to class.
